  • In Dhanaulti you can start your journey with the auspicious Surkanda Devi Temple which is dedicated to goddess Sati. There is a long story of goddess Sati when she killed herself and Lord Shiva was carrying her dead body on his shoulders, her every part of body was cut by Lord Vishnu’s Sudarshan chakra and fell down on various parts of earth and they became sacred temples. And it is believed that the head of Goddess Sati fell down at Dhanaulti and the temple was built in the 13th century. There is a charming view can be observed from this place and adventurous people can also go for vertical trekking route which will be quite challenging and it will take you to the KaduKhal.
