Sulthan Bathery is a town located in the state of Kerala in India. This place was previously known as Sultan Battery and this is actually a Jain Temple which has quite interesting story after it. This place got its name from Tipu Sultan of Mysore who took this Jain temple which was abandoned at that time and he used it as his battery in the 18th century, as a consequence the name Sultan’s Battery was kept after it. But this temple is no more treated as Sultan’s Bathery but at present time this is a Jain Temple which has become a tourist destination for the tourists from all over the country.
