Sikkim is an interior state of India based on the Himalayan foothills and bordering countries like Tibet, Bhutan, and Nepal. It is also bordering the Indian State of West Bengal on its south. Sikkim is a place where you can experience the beauty of the Himalayas and see its snow covered mounts and lush background which will remind you of a fairy tale like background.   • Sikkim has been divided into four districts and all of them have their own beauties that are spellbinding and is a gift to the spectators. Starting from the eastern side of Sikkim you can visit various monasteries natural valleys and other scenic spaces. Most importantly the Tsongmo Lake which is known for its exclusive beauty you can see lots of Bhraminy Ducks floating on it. This lake is considered as a sacred lake of this place among Hindus and Buddhists.
  • On the northern side of the State you can visit the Mangan and also you can visit Lachen which is spectacular place and while you walk upwards on this valley you will find beautiful scenes as the mountain will seem as the peak of melting gold and do not forget to visit the Gurudongmar Lake as it is also one of the most beautiful places in the state because it is surrounded all over by high ice-capped mountains and you can also spot chilled waterfalls and you can move forward to The Yumthang Valley to see sparkling snow-capped peaks.
  • On the western Side of Sikkim you can visit the Dubdi Gompa which is the 300-year-old Buddhist monastery and settled on the high trekking trails of Yuksom. And you can also visit the Pelling and from this place, you can have a glimpse of Kanchenjunga which is really breathtaking.
  • Moving towards to the South you can view beautiful places along with the NamchiManoastery in Namchi and Rolang Monastery.
  • Sikkim is placed to find various wild species such as Tibetan Wolf, Himalayan Jungle cat, Asian Black Bear, comoonlangur and many others. There is a unique flower called Rhododendron is found here in rich pink color and it is also the official flower of the state.

  • While visiting Sikkim you misremember that it is a very cold place and you must carry your warm clothes, but as you go for trekking you will get socks made from yak wool easily on the trek trails.
  • In Sikkim you can go for various activities such as trekking, kayaking, mountain biking, rafting, mountaineering, Yak Safari and many others.
  • Do not forget to eat Sikkim delicacies such as momos and thukpas that are made of veg as well as non-veg ingredients. And you can also taste the local beer of Sikkim called Chhang that are served bamboo glasses.
