Shree Siddhivinayak Temple

The Siddhivinayak temple is an ancient temple dedicated to lord Ganesha in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The temple was built by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil in the 1801.  The Siddhivinayak temple is also well-known as Navasala Pavanara Ganapati. The temple was designed to be an excellent architectural example. The old temple encloses a sanctum sanctorum, a stone staircase and a big hall with many pillars and a dome.

The most remarkable trait of the Siddhivinayak temple is the idol of Lord Ganesha is that his trunk is tilted to the right side and the deity has four hands, which is why it is also called Chaturbhuj. The four hands contain a lotus, a small axe, holy beads and a bowl full of Modaks. And the lake in front of the temple adds its attraction. The Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayak Chaturthi is the festival that is celebrated here with full excitement.
