Omkareshwar is a city located in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. This city is named after the popular Lord Shiva Temple settled in this city. Omkareshwar is considered as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Omkareshwar has a long story behind its presence and it starts with Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, and it is said that Lord Brahma was cursed after a lie he saw about the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva he said to Lord Vishnu to win over him.
