Margao is a city located in the state of Goa in India. It is also known as the commercial and cultural capital of the state.   • You can start your journey with Majorda which is a beautiful beach in Majorda Beach is situated in the Salcete taluka and this beach is known for its neatness and it houses some of the posh hotels and resorts of Goa. This beach also houses several restaurants and beach hotels, where you can have authentic and delicious intercontinental Indian and Goan cuisines. You can also visit the Velsao beach which is located near the Majorda beach and also popular for scenic locations.
  • Among other beautiful beaches of Margao you can visit the Varca Beach which is known for its white and pristine sands and this place is also visited by thousands of tourists because it is popular for dolphin trips and boating rides. You can come here for sunbathing too. For more fun-filled activities you can visit the Betul beach where you can spend a great time in fishing. You can also hire ferries to sail.
  • Among some of the ancient places in the city you can visit the Chandler is a village located on the banks of the Kushavati River. The prime attraction of this village is the Braganca House, also known as the Perreira Braganza/Menezes-Braganza House which is a colonial mansion has a double stories façade built in the 17th century. This was the residence of Pereira Braganca family and it houses a small chapel of St Francis Xavier with a huge library that contains almost 5,000 leather bound books.
  • You can also visit Loutolim which is a town quite a far away from Margao and is famous for beautiful colonial mansions designed in the Portuguese architectural style. You can visit the Ancestral Goa Museum and the Saviour of the World Church. You can also visit the Goa theme park for more fun.
