Havelock Island is one of the hottest tourist destinations of the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar and comprises Ritchie’s Archipelago a chain of islands to the east of the territory. The island is named after, a British general active in India. The place is mostly having a population of Bengali settlers. Havelock Island was rescued much from the 2004 Tsunami where most if the other parks of this union territory were demolished.
