Hassan is a town located in the state of Karnataka in India. This city was founded in the 11th century by Channa Krishnappa Naik. Hassan has got its name after the Goddess “Hassanamba”, which the most worshiped goddess and dominant deity of the town. In Hassan, you can see a number of beautiful temples that are known for their beautiful and intricate architecture as this place are often called the temple architectural capital of Karnataka. This is a city of remarkable architectural surprises and when we mention about the Chennakesava Temple which was constructed in the 12th century, and people especially come from all corners of the world to see its intricate architecture and craftwork done on its spectacular detailing on doors, in pillars, and arches.
  • While the Hoysaleswara Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva is another spectacular construction of this city to witness the amazing Deccan architecture, and this temple was also constructed in the 12th century.   • You can visit the Shettyhalli Church which is a 450-year-old church constructed in a Gothic Style of architecture.There is a surprising about the church that is it gets underwater by the backwaters of Hemavathy River.   • You can also visit the Ramanathpur Temples which is a holy town settled on the banks of River Cauvery. This is a great place to visit as you can see numerous colorful fishes in the river and can also feed them, there is also a cave under the water which can be viewed during summers.

  • Do visit the Ranganatha Hill where you can go for a long drive with your loved one as the road is very good and you can see the beautiful side views while going to the top of the hill to see the huge statue of Hanuman and the temple on it.
