Gwalior is a historical town settled in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. This city is associated with some of the great historical legends of India and the great Gwalior fort was ruled by the Tomaras in the 8th century, then to the Mughals, passed on to the Marathas under the Scindias (1754). Followed by this place you can visit the Ghaus’s Tomb enclave which is again a place with historical evidence as this place belonged to the noted guru of Tansen who was a great singer in Akbar’s Court and counted among the nine jewels or the Navaratnas.
  • In Gwalior you can visit the Sun Temple which is known for its glorious architecture dedicated to the Sun God, and counted in the chain of the famous sun temples of the country. The temple is located in a quiet ambiance and a very beautiful garden which is found in the temple premises. This holy temple is visited by hundreds of tourists and known to be one of the important pilgrimage places of the city.
  • Gwalior is a place where Rani Lakshmi Bai took her last breath and this is again a great place to visit which is known as the Samadhi of Rani Lakshmi Bai. In this place, you can see a beautiful garden too.
  • Do visit the Gwalior Zoo which is also known to be a place where animals are given more pro medication and care and you can see tiger cubs and Black Bucks over here.
  • You can visit Koteshwar where you can find one of the oldest temples of the city and this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. A huge fair is organized every year at the occasion of Mahashivaratri and hundreds of people from all over the state participate in this festival. You can also visit the Rama Mandir dedicated to Lord Rama, Gurudwara Data Bandi Chod a famous Gurudwara mostly visited by foreign tourists in your religious visit in Gwalior.
