Ghaziabad Travel Guide

Ghaziabad is a city located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. This city lies quite adjacent to Delhi, so it is among one of the main cities of NCR or National Capital Region and also known as the main entrance of Uttar Pradesh and due this reason it is also called the “Gateway of Uttar Pradesh”. It is well planned and settled city and also known as one of the main commercial and educational hubs of Uttar Pradesh. This city is located on the Gangetic Plains and settled on the banks of the Hindon River and this city was founded by, Ghazi-ud-din, in the year 1740 who named it Ghaziuddin nagar after his name. He also built a huge sarai comprised of 120 rooms of masonry with pointed arches. If you visit the city you can still his mausoleum stands in the city but in a ruined condition.

It is said that a cow milked herself and filled a dig through it and after people saw it they built a temple there and they devoted them to Lord Shiva.

This garden or Upavan is a place where you will find your peace of mind as you can find the fragrance of harmony and brotherhood in the air of this place. This is a large monastery which is surrounded by serene ambience and picturesque flowering plants and orchards which add more beauty and tranquility to this place. You can also see the Hindon River flowing by the sides of the Upvan which makes it a must visit in the tour of Ghaziabad.
