Here a gigantic 135 feet high statue of Guru Padamsambhava is installed atop the Samdrupste, which is the highest of its kind. Now, Samdrupste has turned into an international pilgrimage for the Bhuddists.

The place is very close to many other attractions of south district such as Namchi Rock Garden, Phur Tsa Chu, Samdrupste, etc.

A popular pilgrimage site for both the Hindus and also the Buddhishts, is a polpular pilgrimage for the hindus and Buddhists. On the hilltop of Solophok, the replica of the four dhams of the country, namely Badrinath, Jaganath, Dwarka and Rameshwar are installed at one place. At Solophok hilltop, a 87 feet high statue of Lord Shiva, locally known as Lord Kirateshwar, is also installed on the sitting posture.

While to the Aritar Lake, one can also visit to the well known Lingsay Monastery and a Manghim.

Do-Drul Chorten (Stupa)

The Do – Drul Chorten or Stupa is one of the most important stupas in Sikkim, that have complete madala sets of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur relics (Holy Books) and other religious objects inside. 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels can be seen around the Stupa, which are turned by the devout Buddhist while chanting "hail to the jewel in the lotus ", to invoke Buddhisattva.


Nathula in Sikkim

The Nathula Pass used to be the prime corridor of passage between India and Tibet, before closed in 1962. Presently this is a popular tourist destination, nestled at an altitude of 14450 ft. Nathula is open for Indian nationals on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays while foriegn tourists are not allowed to visit Nathula.

This place, located about 33 kms from Pelling, have many important places like the footprint of Lhatsun Chenpo, Dubdi Monastery, etc. Yuksom is also the gateway to the Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve, the base for some of the most fascinating treks through high mountains.
