Mohan Shakti Heritage Park is an ultimate place to visit in Solan, it is located at Shakti Sthal on NH 22 between Kalka and Shimla. This park is supplemented with many unique structures and it is believed to be the largest park in Himachal Pradesh. Dagshai Jail Museum is a former British prison which is now turns into a museum for tourists. It has an unknown gem that most tourists miss in their hurry to get to Shimla. It was constructed in 1849 and stayed in operation for well over a hundred years. It was forgotten to history and was turned into a storage facility. When the yard was cleaned up the jail stood as strong as ever and was converted into a museum with the help of the army and Himachal Tourism. The jail consisted of 54 cells. 16 of the cells have no windows and were meant to be used for solitary confinement.

Bon monastery in Solan is the second oldest Bon monastery in the world. The monastery is highly revered by the people of the Bon community. It is also believed that the town of Solon was named after Shoolini Mata, who is the presiding deity of the temple. As per legends, the temple was once the abode of Shoolini Mata.
