Various ancient sculptures and antiquities have been found from this place, which date back to the period from 9th century AD to 12th century AD. Pinjore is situated at around 1,800 ft above sea level and is surrounded by a beautiful valley, overlooking the Shivalik Ranges. It is also believed that the Pandavas visited this place during their exile.

Mansa Devi Temple is dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi Temple. It is believed that the presiding goddess Mansa Devi grants boon to the devotees offering prayers at the temple. This temple was constructed in the 5 years from 1811 to 1815 by Maharaja Gopal Singh, king of Manimajra. It is located at a distance of nearly 24 Kms from Parwanoo, the temple is flocked by devotees during Navratri.

Shri Balaji Temple

It is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Balaji who is an incarnation of Lord Vishu. The temple is a major attraction of Parwanoo and is also popular by the name of Sri Trimurti Dham Balaji Hanuman. It has idols of Lord Hanuman and Lord Vishnu. As per a legend, the ancient temple was buried under earth till 1988 when it was discovered and turned up by the Archeological Department. It’s a sacred placed for visitors, located in the small village named Bhairo Ki Ser on NH 22. The temple is easily approachable via Kalka city.

It is located in close proximity to Panchkula Interstate Bus Terminus and 33 km away from Parwanoo. It is one of the popular gardens in the region that houses around 3,500 species of cacti and some endangered Indian species. Sprawled over an area of 7 acres, this garden is known to be one of the largest cactus gardens in the Asian region. A number of tourists and botanists step in here to explore the different types of cacti. The garden includes three greenhouses that are well equipped with climate control services.

Subathu
