1. Patalpuri Temple

   Patalpuri is one of the oldest temples in Allahabad, situated within the Allahabad Fort was built by Akbar. Inside the fort, lies the Akshaya Vat – the immortal tree believed to have been visited by Lord Rama, the temple was also seen by Hiuen Tsang the famous Chinese traveler and writer during his visit.

   Hanuman Mandir is a unique temple in Allahabad. The temple comprises of idol of lord Hanumana in Reclining posture. When the Ganges is in spate, temple gets submerged. According to mythology, it is believed the increase in the water level of river Ganges is because the river wants to touch the feet of Lord Hanuman.

3. Mankameshwar Temple

4. Kalyani Devi Temple

   Kalyani Devi Temple is the Shaktipeeth of Goddess Lalitha, is located at Kalyanidevi and Meerapur locality in Allahabad. The shrine is believed to be sacred as the Sati’s fingers were fallen here. The Chaitra Navratri and the Ashwin Navratri are the two significant festivals that are celebrated here in the month of March and October respectively.

5. Nagvasuki Temple

   Nagvasuki Temple is located on the banks of the river Ganga, in Daraganj on the northern side of the railway bridge. The temple is devoted to Vasuki, the king of serpents. Every year on the occasion of Nag Panchami a fair is held near the temple so the large number of devotees gathers here. Also, a large idol of Bishmapita is seen in a reclined position near the temple.

6. Alopidevi Temple

   Alopidevi temple located at Alopibagh is an exceptional temple in Allahabad. There are no idols in the temple while there is a wooden swing kept in the temple above a marble platform. Thousands of devotees come here to worship the swing.
