One of the major tourist place in Port Blair, Cellular Jail is also known as Kalapani. It is a Colonial Prison maid for the Indian revolutionaries who fight for the Independence. The large size of the Chattam Saw Mill and its proximity to Port Blair makes it a popular tourist destination. The mill also has a big store house containing various wood pieces from trees like padauk, gurjan, satin wood and marble.

Mount Harriet

Located at 55 km by road and 15 km by ferry from the Port Blair, Mount Harriet is a 365 meters high peak in the South Andaman’s and is the highest in the area. With lovely view from the hill top, it served as the summer headquarters of chief commissioner during the British principle. There is a nature trail from this hill to the Madhuban woods. From this hill, one can see the Indian Ocean and alternate islands.
