Cuttack is a city located in the state of Odisha in India.This city is also known as the ‘Millennium City’ or the ‘Silver City’ of the state. This ancient city of Odisha is said to be thousand years old. The city was very prosperous but it was captured by Firoz Shah Tughlaq after which the city had suffered a period of sabotage, damage and theft. Being one of the oldest cities of this state it is also stated as the commercial capital of Odisha. The city has a high status in all over the country for its intricate and exclusive filigree works, and also for its artistic works and the fine craftsmanship in the segment of textiles industries. This city was founded in 10th century by Nripati Keshari and it was the capital of Odisha during the British era.   • You can visit Cuttack to see the Bara Bati Fort which is quite ancient and said back to be built in the medieval times. This fort was huge and said to be innine storeys high building settled on the banks of Mahanadi River but now it stands in ruins as it survived the thrashes of its past times.
  • You can also visit the Qadam- E- Rusool which is a mosque built in the 18th century AD by a Hindu ruler for the Muslims. This is such a mosque which has three mosques inside it and the central one contains a stone where you can see the footprints of Prophet Mohammed.
