One of the first and oldest monastery in Gangtok built in the year of 1705 AD by Gyalwa Lhatsun Namkha Jigme- one of the three monks of Yuksom. Rabdentse Ruins is located within a walking distance from the Pemayangtse Ruins. One it was a former capital of Sikkim and now it lies in ruins. It was destroyed by the Nepalese army in 1814. Thus the Archeological Survey of India restored this place and announced the ruins of the Rabentse as historical monuments .
