The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is one of the richest temples in India that is located in Chitoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara as the temple resides the idol of Lord Venkateswara which stands to a height eight feet under the gold gilded dome called the Ananda Nilaya Divay Vimana. The eyes of the idol are covered with a tilak of camphor and are adorned with some of the precious stones which give it a unique appeal.
The entire temple is built in Dravidian style. There are three enclosures which are called Prakarams and a dome on the main shrine called as Vimana. Another attraction of the place is Brahmotsavam which is celebrated magnificent way for nine days in the month of September. On the 5th and the 9th day of the festival Garudostavam and Rathotavam takes place respectively The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is thronged by devotees all throughout the year.
