Ranikhet is a hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand in India. Here you can see the camps of Kumaon Regiments, Naga Regiment which are administered by the Indian Army. The meaning of Ranikhet is Queen’s Meadow. This name has been kept after a local story, which says that it was an incident of Raja Sudhardev who won the heart of his queen, Rani Padmini, who later chose this place as for her home, and kept the name of this place as; Ranikhet but you do not find any palace in this place. You can enjoy the weather of this hill station as this has a cool weather and you will have a great time all through the year and if you visit during the winters you will able to see snow falling on you. The ambience of Ranikhet is very natural and serene. You will love the untouched dense forest which comprises the jungles of deodar pine and oak.
