Pushkar is a holy city located in the state of Rajasthan in India. It is known as one of the oldest cities of the country and famous for organizing various fairs and festivals of the state.This city lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake. And there is another lake called as the Ketaksha which is connected with the Hindu Mythology as it is believed that this lake is formed by the tears of Lord Shiva which was flown down to earth when Goddess Sati died.   • Pushkar is a place where you can see many temples such as the Brahma Temple which is one of the rare temples dedicated to Lord Brahma ‘The creator of the World’. This is a famous Hindu temple situated near the Pushkar Lake. This is an ancient temple which dates to the 14th century, and somehow the temple is believed to be 2000 years old. The temple is entirely built of marble and stone slabs and presented with an individual red pinnacle and a hamsaor a swan motif. Inside the temple, you can see the main idols of Brahma with his second associate Gayatri.
  • Along with this you can also visit the Savitri Temple which is considered as the temple of Lord Brahmas first associated and this temple is also famous for the visitors.
  • In Pushkar you can see other temples like Rangji Temple and Chamunda Temple which are dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Durga respectively. These temples are treated as holy and Chamunda Temple is one of which Shakti peethas which is visited by thousands of pilgrims.
  • You can also visit the Pushkar Lake which is definitely a beautiful, place and a holy spot to visit in the city. This lake is considered to be very ancient and of the time when the earth was created. This lake is a place of pilgrimage for the Hindus. You can take bath in the 52 different ghats surrounded by the lake, which is considered auspicious if taken during the month of Kartik.
  • People mostly visit Pushkar to see the Pushkar Camel Fair. This fair is a grand celebration where thousands of camels are brought to sell. People decorate their camels in beautiful jewelry to present them in this fair, and huge number of cattle is also presented in this fair.
