The Pushkar fair is one of the largest Camel festivals held in Rajasthan every year. It showcases the vibrant culture of the Rajasthan. The small town becomes a cultural manifestation when the colorfully dressed devotees, musicians, gymnasts, folk dancers, traders, comedians, Sadhus and tourists reach here. The celebrations of the Pushkar Fair have two gears. The livestock and camel trading takes place during the initial stage of the fair and subsequently, it concludes as Devotees take dips in the holy Sarovar Lake, as the sacred water is known to grant salvation
The Pushkar fair has its own magic for travelers as the place offers an absorbing and incredible opportunity to watch a conventional carnival in India. The camel and horse races have huge crowds to cheer. Camel judging competitions are quite popular with animal lovers. Other attractions at the place are Bridal contests, Matka phod, Laadoo oonth, Longest Moustache Contest and the Horse dance. Pushkar is truly a great fiesta to watch.
