This is a sacred Ghatthat was built in the1st century BC by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bharthari on the banks of the holy Ganges.   • You can visit Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar which is a bird sanctuary built on the banks of the River Ganges and this is a heaven for the bird watchers during the winter to spot the migratory birds.
  • You can also visit the Maya Devi Mandir which is considered as one of the 51 “shaktipeet has” and it’s the presiding deity of Haridwar and it is believed that the heart and navel of Goddess Sati has fallen here.
  • Do not miss to visit Kankhal as it is one of the sacred places as it is the temple of King Daksha who was the father of Goddess Sati and you can also see the kund in which sati jumped and sacrificed her life.
