Famous Parks in Jaipur

Jaipur is not only famous for forts, temples and monuments but also for gardens. It has plenty of gardens, both natural and artificial. Most of the gardens and national parks in Jaipur are maintained and preserved by the Rajasthan government as a “green” initiative to maintain the eco-system of the city.
There are quite a few popular gardens such as the Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh, Ram Niwas Gardens and Vidyadhar Garden. Given below is a brief description of all the famous parks in Jaipur city. Which are amongst favorite & popular picnic spots in Jaipur.

Jawahar Circle

Named after its location on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg near Sanganer airport, Jawahar Circle is the largest circular park in Asia having a diameter of 452 m. Perfect place for leisure activities and encircled by Rose gardens, Jawahar circle park has 1420 m circumference jogging track, musical fountain and some modern play equipments.

Sisodia Rani Garden

A multi-level garden having beautiful fountains, watercourses and painted pavilions are the major attraction of Sisodiya Rani Garden. Also called as Sisodiya Rani Ka Bagh, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built this maginificent jewel at the Lal Dungri on Jaipur-Agra highway in 1779 and named after Queen of Sisodiya Dynasty.

Ram Niwas Garden

Built in 1868 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh, Ram Niwas Garden is the historical garden which extends around 35 acres of green land. Best place for morning walk or sightseeing as Ram Niwas Garden has Albert Hall Mseum, Zoo, Art Gallery, Ravindra Rang Manch Theatre, Gymnasium and cafe within its premises.

Kanak Vrindavan Garden

Located at the foot of Nahargarh hill at Amer road, Kanak Vrindavan garden was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh at around 280 year ago. Series of fountains at Govind Deoji temple with marvellous mirror and ‘jali’ work at the walls attracts tourists towards Kanak Vrindavan garden.
