Ajanta Cave is a well-known monument in Aurangabad and also in India, Ajanta Cave is a combination of 31 rock-cut Buddhist caves date back to 2nd century. There are 30 Chaityas and Viharas have pictures which show the life and various manifestations of Lord Buddha. The Archeological Survey of India describes these monuments as "the finest surviving examples of Indian art, particularly painting.

Daulatabad Fort is a 14th-century fort situated about 16-kilometer northwest of Aurangabad, It is one of the most powerful forts of the medieval period. It is built on a 200 mt high conical hill, which provides this grand fort a strategic position. It was developed by Raja Bhillamraj Yadav – the King of Yadava dynasty in the year 1187. The fort is rated amongst the best-protect forts in the country.

Aurangabad Caves are 12 artificial rock-cut Buddhist cave situated on a hill running east to west, close to the city of Aurangabad. These caves are divided into three groups. The first group has Cave 1 to 5, the second group has Cave 6 to 9 and third group has 10 to 12. There is about 500 meters distance between the first and second group and the third one is slightly further on the east.
